Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry

I'm kind of torn about this book.

I had major problems with Emily. She's a seventeen year old girl, who lives with her mother and step-father, but calls him daddy. She lives in Florida and refuses to leave the security of her home or her world. She does EVERYTHING that her mother tells her to do, because she doesn't want to hurt her feelings. She has a real dad, whom she refuses to have an actual relationship with because she believes that he walked out on her and her mom, and only gives him enough time to visit with him once a year.

I wanted to reach and slap the non-sense out of her. Certain events happened that causes her to have to go home to Kentucky and visit her REAL dad and his family (whom she knows nothing about, because her mom is selfish and refuses to acknowledge them).

I was so pissed off at her and her uptight attitude. I only kept reading because I wanted to know what that extremely guarded secret that EVERYONE kept was...

I didn't mind the other characters, and I felt like I liked Olivia a lot more than any one else. She was a sneaky nosy person, whom only wanted to make Emily understand who her family was and that she belonged with them as much as she belonged with her mother.
